Facebook Removing 20,000 Underage Users Daily


The analysis and surveys conducted by a company titled, Pew Internet & American Life Project, determines that almost 50percent of 12 years old children of the U.S. population have their personal accounts on social network sites, regardless the 18 years old limitation required to sign up for these websites, of which Facebook is indisputably the king.
Whereas this percentage shows a trend of increasing with the age of children, as 64 percent of 13 year old children use such websites and for the children of age between 14 and 17 the percentage is as high as 82 percentages, claims Pew. However, that does not necessarily mean that Facebook is not working a strategy to stop such actions and these youngsters to become addicted to the network.

Apple Improves Their Shipment Time of iPad 2 from 3-4 Weeks to 2-3 Weeks


The revised time for the shipping to the U.S. customers has been enhanced, as before Apple’s website claimed to make the shipment in around four and five weeks but now this estimation has been lowered to two to three weeks only. Even the international orders, as the device gets released internationally on Friday, are also promised to be shipped within two to three weeks.

Even though one week does not really makes a difference but it actually indicates that Apple is succeeding to meet up with the issue of very high demand it has faced earlier. Concerns were raised before the international launch in 25 new countries that whether or not will Apple be able to meet the demand in these areas but it seems now they are all been wronged.
There has also been a speculation that Apple might be facing troubles as the direct affect of the earthquake disaster of Japan as their manufacturing partner, Foxconn has halted their activities. Then again rumors say that Apple has stocked enough components to continue their assembling of iPad 2 for the next two to three weeks on its own.

Sony Files a Lawsuit against an Alleged Jailbreaker of PlayStation 3


Sony has declared that the accused ‘PlayStation 3 jailbreaker,’ nicknamed George “GeoHot” Hotz has voluntarily fled down to South America just in case of keeping himself away from all the legal action. Although, Hotz has claimed that he is down there on a planned vacation for the spring break.

Just recently Sony has filed paper work in the California court, straight forwardly accusing Hotz for fleeing the country, merely for the sake of not forwarding the “components of his hard drives as requested” by the court. Sony goes on complaining that this act of Hotz clearly shows his efforts just “to dodge this Court’s authority,” which has given birth to “very serious questions” regarding Hotz position in the lawsuit.
On the other side, the Hotz has posted on his blog, in a post titled “Fearmongering” which says that he is just there for the spring break vacations and it was planned and paid for even before the patent.

Company Which Holds the Patent of 'Automated Browsing Tool' Sues Apple Over iTunes, Apple TV and Other Products


This week a new lawsuit was just filed against Apple Inc. in the U.S. District Court in Delaware by a company titled, ‘Robocast.’ In this lawsuit Robocast has referred to its ownership of a U.S. Patent No.7,155,451, which is titled as "Automated browsing system for publishers and users on networks serving internet and remote devices." The company claims that its founder, Damon Torres, had "pioneered the use of automated web browsing" way back in 1990s.

The lawsuit reads that the technology of Robocast was displayed at a Spring Internet World show which was held in Los Angeles, California back in April 1999. It was then that an Apple employee, named Fred Reynolds, consulted the Robocast's stall and spied on the entire Robocasat’s product range. The complaint filed reads that "Apple has since incorporated Robocast's patented automated browsing technology into a number of its products and services, including at least the following: Apple TV, FrontRow, and iTunes.”

Just as longer and longer queues had waited at Apple Stores before the launch of iPad 2 in 25 new countries, anxiously waiting for the clock to turn to 5pm. simultaneously, those customers who had ordered the device on the Apple’s website seeing the estimated shipment time to be 2-3 weeks, will now have to face delays.
Just few of those who had their online orders early are going to get their iPad 2 on time. Apple had displayed the estimated time period of 2-3 weeks for the shipment before the launch but only few hours after the launch, the new tablet computer immediately returned back to 3-4 weeks time period for the shipment. Many potential customers criticized the sudden change on the Apple’s website at their message boards, plenty of them even claimed to have received emails from Apple informing them to expect their iPad 2 devices till late April.

New Apple AirPlay Software Package Extends to Video Streaming


Apple is now trying to overtake the entire devices one can have in their lounge, their upcoming integration device is called AirPlay, which is intended for all HDTVs, reveals Bloomberg. Apple hopes AirPlay will be integrated with almost all leading TV sets; enabling the users the liberty to wirelessly stream any content from the wide variety of very popular Apple devices like iPad, iPhone or Mac directly to the TV. This feature will give a relief to the customers, who previously had to buy a relatively expensive solution, which was a $99 Apple TV.
