New Apple AirPlay Software Package Extends to Video Streaming

Apple is now trying to overtake the entire devices one can have in their lounge, their upcoming integration device is called AirPlay, which is intended for all HDTVs, reveals Bloomberg. Apple hopes AirPlay will be integrated with almost all leading TV sets; enabling the users the liberty to wirelessly stream any content from the wide variety of very popular Apple devices like iPad, iPhone or Mac directly to the TV. This feature will give a relief to the customers, who previously had to buy a relatively expensive solution, which was a $99 Apple TV.

Bloomberg was informed that Apple has every intention to license this AirPlay software package with large electronics manufacturing companies, which will then be able to pre-install this software in their TV devices. This will give those TVs the functionality of streaming both audio and video content from all Apple devices directly.
Previously Apple has only licensed AirPlay for the streaming of audio only, hence only few manufacturers, e.g. Pioneer, have launched their devices with AV receivers which are enabled to receive audio signals wirelessly from Apple devices using this technology.  However, now this new software package will allow not only audio but video streaming as well.
Hence now if Apple ends up licensing this video-enabled AirPlay technology, it will eradicate the limitation of buying the Apple TV for video streaming of Apple devices on big screens. Moreover it will be a huge step as Apple will allow third-parties hardware to adopt the AirPlay technology.
