Recently recovering from her illnesses, the artiest who’s considered the ruler of the soul genre has scheduled to have her 69th birthday party in her own way in New York City.

As informed through her publicist, Tracey Jordan, Aretha Franklin has big plans for her upcoming birthday this Friday. She announces that a private party will be held at a luxury hotel where not only her but performances from other artists are also suspected to take place as only special guests to the host will be exclusively invited. Moreover she also has it in her mind to go see "Driving Miss Daisy" on Broadway earlier in the evening.
The legendary artists very recently suffered through a surgery several months back in Detroit, thought the nature or need of the surgery has been kept from the media. After the surgery she mysteriously lost some weight around 80 pounds. Although, Franklin claims that there is nothing suspicious about it, as she was expecting the weight loss due her change in diet and exercise.
Her next now album is set to be released sometime in May this year.
