Google Latitude for Iphone App Gets Released After A 22 Months Delay

Finally the free application supposedly announced to a February 2009 launch, ends up on the App Store as the button for Google Latitude application for iPhone appears. This application, which was initially discarded from the App Store management has finally been accepted and is now available at the store.
Google Latitude for iPhone gives users the liberty to see the location of their friends in real-time at the very moment, and reciprocally shares the users current location as well. Google Latitude has the facility of multitasking and can easily do so on any iOS 4 and the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS platform, as well as sharing the user’s current location in the background via GPS.
Eventual authorization of Google’s this product signifies the second sophisticated reversal on behalf of Apple in reviewing the internet giant's iPhone software. Previously in November, the official Google Voice application for iPhone application, which was also not being approved before, was allowed in the stores after spending even more than a year of negative response from Apple. Whereas Google Latitude was initially announced back in the days around February 2009, around the time when the search giant itself intended to reveal its plans of releasing the software’s for the iPhone via Apple's App Store.
The bitter rejection, in addition to the previous lack of multitasking on the iPhone device, resulted in Google to launch a Web application as well, which specifically pioneered in allowing the users to access the Latitude service through the Mobile Safari browser with ease.
