The Internet retailer recently becoming the daily controversial headline, Amazon, has completely and utterly denied any rumors claiming that so-called pro-WikiLeaks hackers or their sympathizers were the ones had had pulled the stunt of failing the websites in several European countries in revenge of their recent controversies regarding WikiLeaks.
Very recently the Amazon sites went offline just for a little time period of around half an hour or so in handful of EU Countries, namely including Britain, France, Germany and some others as well. It was as soon as Sunday evening and quite expectedly the rumors swirled up everywhere assuming that one of the leading website being suspected to be a very possible target by online "hacktivists" already attempting to take it down. Though Amazon stated clearly and made their stance strongly this Monday. Announcing that the problem "was due to hardware failure in our European data center network" and had nothing to do with any kind of a hacker attack or anything related to that.
It is necessary to mention a little about a loosely-held-together group hacker activists who like to call themselves "Anonymous" and have taken it upon themselves to avenge WikiLeaks by targeting all the companies that had dissolved their ties and business with the secret-spilling site WikiLeaks, including Visa, MasterCard and PayPal. However, the underground hacker group itself made a confession last week declaring that Amazon was a little too big of a target to bring down so easily.
