Facebook Inc. has dissolved an entire Toronto -based design company, Teehan+Lax's, by hiring all the firm’s partners. According to a company statement issued on Friday, it will be closing its doors for all customers and clients. The Teehan+Lax's partners’ move to Facebook’s San Francisco offices will leave behind almost around 40 staff members unaccounted.
The three partners of the firm, namely John Lax, Geoff Teehan and David Gillis, broke the news and explained their decision in an elaborate blog post. Quite noticeably, the post failed to mention what they would be actually doing for Facebook.

Established in 2002, Teehan+Lax is credited for various web designs and online news products including Medium, Readability and Canadian newspaper Globe and Mail's website. The dissolved company's founders spoke only briefly about the potential of employees from Teehan+Lax joining the designers at Facebook, but it's unclear if any of the staffers will disrupt their home lives in Toronto in favour of a job in San Francisco.
