It has been revealed that celebrity co-founder and C.E.O. of world’s largest social network Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has made plan to have another trip to China soon. This will be his second visit to China, as Facebook remains firm in its pursuit of bringing the social networking website online in the country. On his previous visit, which took place in December, Zuckerberg spent time with many of the leaders and chief officers of local Chinese Internet companies including Baidu Inc, Sina Corp and Alibaba Corp.
Chief Operating Officer of Facebook Inc., Sheryl Sandberg, spoke about the matter while she was at the Reuters Global Technology Summit  stating that "Our company mission is really clear, which is we want to connect the whole world." She went on saying that "And it's impossible to think about connecting the whole world right now without also connecting China."
China is undisputedly one of the world's largest Internet market because of its high population, which can be made into potential users. This has been a great attraction for Facebook Inc., which remains blocked in the country along with plenty other websites based in west. The Chinese government has tremendously tight control and censorship on the online information revealed within the country.
Previous attempts from several other Western Internet companies to break the code and benefit from the immensely profitable region had fallen astray. Just last year Google Inc., also a rival of Facebook Inc., withdrew its services from China to some extent, after it had a disagreement with the authorities regarding an online censorship and faced several cyber attacks in its headquarters originated from China.
Sandberg claimed that "Despite what you may have read, Mark and I ac
tually really agree on the importance of China." Sandberg stated that specific details regarding the time or agenda of Zuckerberg's trip to China are not yet decided.  Sandberg declared that "We don't know exactly what he'd do, but certainly engagement is really important. Plus, Mark really likes tech entrepreneurs." She later also added that "He likes meeting with them always, everywhere he goes" so perhaps it will be a part of his tour anyway. Mark Zuckerberg, 27, has also been learning Chinese language recently.
