Cisco Keeps Striving Hard Towards Its Own Restructuring for Better Business


Cisco keeps struggling in the market as it aims for several more structural changes to bring it out of past numerable difficult quarters. The networking giants keeps striving as it works on itself to one day become more competent for bringing products and service to the market.

Just last month Cisco Systems Inc., has killed dumped its product titled ‘Flip Video’ camcorder business; this was a very desperate attempt to narrow down its concentration towards greater goals since the competition intensifies no matter what. It was also announced by the company directly Thursday that it will be no more handling too many things, it made it clear that it will now focus more on its counted priorities; namely core routing, switching and services, collaboration, data center virtualization, architectures and video.

It was personally admitted by the C.E.O. John Chambers, that the company has been rightly been criticized for attempting to compete in more than necessary areas at the same time. He notified all the employees of his company that he promises to take "bold steps" towards narrowing down the company's focus and goals. Chambers took a step forward and mentioned that he will not hesitate to take further "tough decisions," when necessary for the company, in the future. After this announcement, spokeswoman for Cisco, Kristin Carvell, was inquired this Thursday regarding the suspicion of whether it meant that the company will be firing its employees. Carvell declined to answer any query questions.
Cisco has also declared previously, that it is working towards scheduling some worldwide field operations which will be divided to concentrate on three different geographic regions. The services business of the company will be to focused towards key customer segments and delivery models.
Moreover, it has been declared that the company will be soon working towards becoming a streamlined engineering organization as it works for creating three separate "councils." Cisco has also previously formed these councils, almost as a tradition, whenever it decides to work around to achieve the crucial top priorities of company. These three councils created this time, will be focusing on three major sectors of recovery; enterprise, service provider and emerging countries.
These mentioned steps of the company, are expected to be implemented on an urgent basis over the next 120 days, the company officials aimed.
