Apple has finally beaten the name of Google as the world's most valuable brand, after the long run of four years period for which the Internet search giant remained supreme, published by the latest study of global brands agency, Millward Brown. It announced that the makers of most famous products, like iPhone and iPad, have now increased their gigantic worth up to $153 billion, which was just the half of its actual market capitalization, as reported on the annual basis by the BrandZ, study of the world's top 100 brands.
The director of Millward Brown, Peter Walshe, was speaking with Reuters when he informed that Apple's has greatly enlarged its existence, especially through its renowned products, in the corporate environment. He mentioned that this ‘presence’ in the market is the key to be different from other rivals and competitors. He said that "Apple is breaking the rules in terms of its pricing model," He spoke on the phone. He elaborated his point of view in these words: "It's doing what luxury brands do, where the higher price the brand is, the more it seems to underpin and reinforce the desire." Summing up his conversation, he added that "Obviously, it has to be allied to great products and a great experience, and Apple has nurtured that."
In the list published Monday, listing the world’s top most 10 brands, six were technology and telecoms companies: namely was Google, which has been downed to second position, stayed above IBM at third. Microsoft still remained on the fifth, as the mobile phone carrier, AT&T was at seventh with China Mobile at number nine. On the other hand, McDonald, the fast-food chain company, has jumped two places above to the fourth position. Coca-Cola was downed one place to sixth position, as Marlboro uniquely stood at number eight, while the last one on the list of ten was, General Electric.
Facebook is still very far away from the top 10 list, but it has made a mature entry in top 100, securing its place on 35th position with a brand valued at $19.1 billion. Noticeably, the notorious Chinese search engine, Baidu, grown up to 29th position from the last year’s 46th position.
These listings are prepared very carefully, as the company claims to take in account the insights of more than 2 million consumers, each in their related markets worldwide. The survey is conducted on the performance of the company in the complete year, also further enhanced with the company's short-term future growth forecasts.
