Facebook Launches a Unique Program Giving Users Facebook Credits to Watch Adverts

Just this Thursday, Facebook has again launched another unique program which, if you look at it, pays general consumers a financial incentive for just visiting ads on the social networking website. Facebook has promised that it will be rewarding its users who will spend time going through certain ads on the site, the reward is promised to be in the shape of Facebook Credits. If you’re not familiar with it already, Facebook Credits is Facebook’s fast-growing program of virtual money, which is redeemed able to primarily buy virtual goods. Just lately the addition of purchasing actual goods on Facebook Deals is also made; Facebook Deals is the latest update of Facebook offering the similar kind of services like Groupon does.
As inspiring as this deal might sound, the incentive is not as big. In the start the maximum a user can get for, for normal amount of ad-views wille be around one credit, which is equivalent to 10 cents real money. So, it is made to sound huge money, but we’re talking small, however, considering it’s totally free, it still counts.

These money-giving ads will primarily be installed around the mostly viewed games on Facebook. Some of these game-makers include CrowdStar, Digital Chocolate and Zynga, who are the first’s one to offer partnership in this pregame. Facebook is also working in collaboration with other companies including Sharethrough, SocialVibe, Epic Media and SupersonicAds who will serve these ads to Facebook for this program, along with TrialPay, which is in partnership to provide analytics of this new experimental venture of Facebook.
The C.E.O. of Sharethrough, Dan Greenberg, was very happy at the announcement and claim that this particular step of Facebook has clearly taken "a step away from interruptive advertising." The clients of Sharethrogh, include high profile companies like Microsoft and Nestle. Greenberg ambitiously claimed that the adverts coming from his system will not be very traditional, rather the claimed that he will give more branded entertainment adverts. He expects these adverts to be so attractive that viewers will not only see them, but also want to share among friends.
Giving incentive to consumers for watching potentially relevant ads is a very unique solution of Facebook. This step will also help Facebook to expand its Credits program even more, as just last week it was updated to let consumers buy real-world goods advertised in Deals.
