Further leaked information has supported the rumors claiming an upcoming tablet from Amazon. Amazon is one of the most widely used online retailers and is renowned for its gadget; Kindle e-reader. This new information leaked by a source, called Boy Genius Report, enlists that Amazon has couple of devices in the process, which expected to be released in the market sometime before 2012.
Even though the details of these upcoming tablet devices remains ambiguous, it has been informed that of one these devices will be only an entry-level tablet, code-named by the company as "Coyote." Coyote will be housing a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, launched earlier this year, also used in the Xoom tablet of Motorola. While the second tablet is code-named as "Hollywood," wgucg will probably be having an expensive ultra-powerful quad-core processor, the Tegra 3 T30. This high performance processor will have the capacity of displaying almost three times better graphics than the previous version.

This new high performance processor, Tegra 3, is scheduled to make its way to the market soon after this summer. The time of this release and its use in the rumored Amazon tablet make perfect timing. Since the rumors have pictured the two devices to be relatively distinct in most of their features, it is being predicted that the first Amazon device, "Coyote," will probably have a smaller 7 inch size to make it a cheaper model. And on the contrary, the second and more powerful quad-core tablet, “Hollowood,” is more likely to be as big as 10 inch, being the sane size of iPad 2 and Samsung's next in line Galaxy Tab 10.1.
The C.E.O. of Amazon Inc., Jeff Bezos, reportedly said that a color E Ink screen has a very less possibility to be shaped in a device in the near future. He labeled the technology to be not "ready for prime time," while Bezos seems to be more inclined towards using a highly readable screen. So it is assumable the devices also have the same, however, his statement did not provide any proof of the upcoming tablets from Amazon.
The chief rival of the Amazon’s tablet devices will be Apple’s iPad, which has kept a rule in the market for a long time, seconded by the Android tablets. Hence, if these rumors are not followed by any official statement soon, its effort might be too late for the market, which is growing at a rapid rate.
