According to the local media of China, four people waiting in queue for the iPad 2’s, had to be taken to hospital after a glass door was shattered in result of an almost-riot in the top Apple store in Beijing. The crowds have been rushing, and have become restless to get their hands on the trendy iPad 2 tablet computer in China. The Beijing News reported that consumers have become very agitated, as many even began queuing outside the Apple store since Saturday afternoon after witnessing the presence of a "foreign" Apple employee. It is being also mentioned that this foreign Apple employee broke into the crowd and starting to bully and punish those who were suspiciously jumping the queue jumping.
This action of the foreign employee perhaps was intolerable for the distressed customers, who right after his departure back into the store, began smashing the glass front door. These were not only selective people, but the crowd as a whole reacted to the intervening of the foreign employee, as they even went on struggling with the vigilant security guards who appeared instantly. The guards apparently charged immediately on the anger group which was being created among the public, and took control of the radicalization. The Apple store in Beijing's chic Sanlitun commercial district had to shut down earlier than their routine Saturday time, due to these inhumane acts of customers. For formal remarks on the incident by Apple officials, their phones went unanswered to the AFP. However, it was noticeable, that despite their early shut down, the voice recording on the phone still stated that that the store is open for business.

The four customers, who had to be admitted into a hospital facility for medical assistance, were interviewed by the Police and the investigation was also launched. The Beijing News claimed that they might have suffered fer minor injuries too.
Consumers in China, are as excited as any other region where iPad 2 was released, many had started lining up outside Apple stores in Beijing and Shanghai since the iPad 2 went on sale, and waited for many hours till they bought one. China is the world's biggest Internet market.
Lines waiting for iPad 2 are still growing intolerably, hence many consumer even have begun selling their spots in the queue. Furthermore some even went on and started reselling just-bought tablet computers outside the Apple Store, on a higher price to avoid the crowd, the report said.
