Joshua Topolsky, who previously used to be an editor at Engadget, currently employed at ‘This is my next,’ shard on his website the rumors he has gathered for the iPhone 5 so far. It is noticeable that the rumors were based on not only one but “a variety of sources,” which gives a sense of ambiguity regarding the authenticity of his report. However, considering these are still rumors, there is an equal chance of them being perhaps being valid and true. The new website might even just be writing rumors regarding iPhone 5 to increase the weekly traffic to the site’s link as previously Apple connected news have done that easily.
Despite most of the rumors previously acknowledged totally claim that its main highlights will be faster processor, specifically speaking the A5 and the 8 megapixel camera in the upcoming version of Apple‘s iPhone. It was always claimed with those rumors that any apparent structural modification to the shape or size of the iPhone is not expected in this year’s edition. These reports written by Topolsky at his post in ‘This is my next,’ are a complete reciprocal and contradictory to the previous ones.

According to his accumulation of rumors, the iPhone 5 is definitely intended for a September release, and above all it is claimed by the mysterious sources to be “more like the iPod touch than the iPhone 4,” in shape. This automatically implies that it will be thinner in design, if compared to iPhone 4 and more likely to have a teardrop-like shape, just like the MacBook Air. It is expected from these assumptions that the touch-screen will encompass almost entire of the front side of the phone, which will make the display of an elaborative 3.7 inches. Secondly, according to the picture painted by the mysterious sources of these rumors, it also has a relatively larger home button, indicating that it might just be programmed to respond according to gestures of the user.
Topolsky carefully quoted on the website that “while the art we’ve seen shows some form of inductive or touch charging, our sources can’t confirm whether or not Apple’s working on its own version of cable-free juicing.”
Considering that the physical design of the iPhone is almost the same since quite a while now, hence it is not so farfetched imagine the likelihood of Apple actually attempting to revamp it after all. Features like an edge-to-edge screen and gesture-responsive home button will really lift the product.
