Google Releases an Official Google Docs App Dedicatedly Developed For Android Devices

Google has finally released its dedication app for its own Android OS; it was announced by a blog post published on this Wednesday by the Mountain View Company. This official post describes that how can this new app of Google based on its own highly admired Android OS allows the user easily and quickly “filter and search for your content across any Google account, then jump straight into editing docs using the online mobile editors. The app also allows you to easily share items with contacts on your phone, right from within the app.”
This app works much like the mobile version of Google Docs, but having

an app definitely makes a major difference. It has its own distinguishable advantages, than to keep browsing from you internet browser; it is much better to scroll through menus rather than a page.

One of the most outstanding features related to the camera of your phone is Google OCR. It’s defined by picturing that if you take a simple picture through the camera, of a text body, Google’s commanding optical character recognition (OCR) software can read that text in the picture and reproduce a editable text file. It is the same process used by Google Goggles. Creating an editable document file from a picture can make life very easier, especially when you have that feature on a small camera phone.
To use this new feature, the user just needs to select the camera icon in the new app, and carefully take a clear picture photo from within the app and it will automatically take a short time till it generates the text document. This feature is the most obvious and first advantage this newly develop app of Google has over the conventionally accessing the mobile version of Google Docs through the web browser, so surely there will be much more too.
Furthermore the blog post reads that this new boastful feature, OCR “does a pretty good job capturing unformatted text in English but won’t recognize handwriting or some fonts – stay tuned, it will get better over time!” However it doesn’t necessarily appears to be possibly deleting these editable text documents from within the app, still it’s easy to assume that such obvious option will be quickly added soon.
Having said that, maybe it is not the best method to edit these documents on such little screens as of nowadays cellphones, in that regard it is of course helpful to use the app on gadgets with much larger-screen which run on Android, specially tablets. Sill if you consider an urgent or handy situation where need such a feature the mobile devices are still not a bad option. Hence, this app is another priceless addition to the app store of Android. It is a free app available in English and compatible with any device using Android 2.1 or above OS.
