Ovi is an application of Nokia which services like a store that users are able access with their Nokia device browser exclusively and then they are introduced to a very wide variety of products. Users are able to download a lot of content to their mobile like applications, games, videos, productivity tools, web and location-based services while allowing them to personalize their store experience as well.

Elop pointed out that Nokia users are able to purchase the content from Ovi store via credit card only. However, unlike other countries where the users have to purchase the content either in dollars or euros regardless of their own local currency, in Pakistan this content is available on Ovi store in Pakistani Rupees. He discussed that attracting new customers has now involved cellphones to be more personalized and packaged with variety of applications which only focus on that particular local market.
Nokia is also likely to advance their investments in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region as Elop acknowledged that MEA region is a very growing area where Nokia has kept supremacy in the local market. Though he did not announce on how much investments will be brought in the region, he did explained that “Regions with disproportionate growth attract a disproportionate amount of spending and the MEA region is a good example.”
Pakistan, one of the countries in MEA region, currently has a market with a high demand for mobiles which range below $200, he discussed. As feature phones are becoming more and more up to the mark, Nokia is focusing on bringing the smartphone experience in relatively more affordable prices.
