Associated Press has shared the news of Larry King hosting the awards ceremony of this year's Peabody Awards. It has been disclosed that King making all the announcement of awards at the George Foster Peabody Awards Ceremony held on the 23rd of May, 2011 in New York.
These awards are known for recognizing the excellence in the field of electronic media. Distinguishably, there are not even specific categories of awards and nor any nominations are disclosed beforehand. Hence all the entries are solely judged by a committee set of 16 members, which is a blend of best television critics, industry practitioners, scholars and experts in culture and fine arts.
Larry King himself has twice received the Peabody Awards, in his stretched worthy career on both radio and TV. First one was awarded in 1980 for a radio program while the second one was received in 1992 for the election coverage of that time on his CNN show.
