Raymond Chow

Raymond Chow, the same producer from Hong Kong who has coined the introduction of legendary stars like Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan to the big screen in front of mass audience, is now being honored for a lifetime achievement award at the upcoming fifth Asian Film Awards ceremony.
This ceremony will be held on Monday and according to the management team of this ceremony, it was announced this Friday that Chow will be honored as he’s played the role of an "instrumental in making Asian cinema the global cinematic and box office force it is today."

Chow started his work from the famed Shaw Brothers studios after which he founded his own Golden Harvest back in 1970. This breakaway company catapulted Lee's career with innumerable hits before it signed Chan in 1979. Later the English-language productions started after 1981 and since then the action comedies began a roll.
