All the effort of which a German filmmaker put while making a documentary film on the destiny of a jailed oil tycoon turned Kremlin critic Mikhail Khodorkovsky has been put to a risk. His movie was stolen just few days before the Berlin International Film Festival, when it was schedule to premiere.
According to the Director Cyril Tuschi, the incident happened on late Friday night, when an intrusion at his Berlin office took place resulting in the theft of the video made. He also claimed that this was not the first time an attempt of theft has been made on his film material, he stated that just few weeks backs an attempt took place at his apartment to intimidate him and steal his work.
Berlin police has confirmed it officially via their speaker, Martin Otter, that a burglary actually did take place at that time on Friday. Tuschi informed the media that he had already sent a promo version of his work lately to the organizers of the festival, which is scheduled to begin on this Thursday.
