#EntertainmentNews: Director of the King’s Speech, Hooper Regains Its Supremacy in Awards Ceremonies of the Season

The talk of the town movie, ‘The King’s Speech’ remains prestart in its supremacy in all kinds of award ceremony of this season. Tom Hooper, the filmmaker of the film, was recently presented another top prize at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) awards on the 29th of January, 2011.

Hooper was presented with the outstanding directorial achievement by his fellow directors for the direction of such a good picture of British monarch, King George VI. The DGA prize giving is assumed by many people to be the best hint for a person that he is about to win an Oscar and they might just not be wrong as a total six recipients of this award went on and also won the Best Director award at the Academy Awards since 1948.
While receiving the award on the stage, Hooper dedicated his trophy to none other than his mother, who he claims was the one to spark an interest in the king. He addressed the entire audience and claimed that, "She came home and she rang me up and she said, 'I think I found your next movie'. The moral of the story is, listen to your mother."
