The Black Keys are in complete spotlight at the upcoming mtvU Woodie Awards. They are the only artist band which has been nominated for more than two awards at the ceremony. Keeping it to the level, they are nominated for one of the most prestigious awards of the ceremony; ‘Woodie of the Year,’ which is always awarded to one artist every year. Others nominated in this category include B.o.B and Arcade Fire.
Second nomination of the band is in the category of best video for "Tighten Up." Whereas, other nominations for the same category include Duck Sauce for "Barbra Streisand" and Vampire Weekend for "Giving Up the Gun." Major other celebrities which are also nominated for these Woodie awards include LCD Soundsystem, Kanye West and Das Racist.
The Woodies award ceremony is scheduled at the 16th of March from the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. It will be telecasted live exclusively by mtvU as well as MTV and MTV2.
