#EntertainmentNews: Everybody Unites For the Green Auction

All the Artists, designers, entertainers and philanthropists are uniting as one force yet again for the second annual green auction, it is the same auction which was credited have raised above $2 million for environmental groups last year. It will be hosted by Christie, while the event includes the Bid to Save the Earth sale of artwork, celebrity dates, luxury travel and high fashion. It is schedule to be commenced on the 19th of March in New York, with proceeds earmarked for four leading non-profit organizations.

The host of the event, David Rockefeller claims that this bidding is a means for "everyone who can support the Green Auction through the Internet -- a truly democratic way to stand up for Mother Earth." Runway to Green is a total pro-environment fashion industry initiative which totally includes almost around 2 dozen top designers, who will be auctioning their items for fall 2011. A portion of sales will benefit environmental initiatives.
Christie is conscious enough to not consider that how much might be raised, but they have assumed that the sales of contemporary art spearheaded by rocker Bono and British artist Damien Hirst to benefit AIDS in Africa three years raised more than $40 million, with prices far exceeding pre-sale estimates.
