#EntertainmentNews: North Korean Channel Screens ‘Bend It like Beckham’

A scene from the movie; Bend It Like Beckam

Something quite out of the ordinary happened at the North Koreans TV Channels this week. The North Korean State TV aired the popular soccer film of Britain, "Bend it Like Beckham." This movie is measured to be a very exceptional case considering the normal schedule of programming of news, documentaries and soap operas on the channel. Moreover to be specific, almost all western films are believed to be entirely crossing the limits in the isolated country.

This specific broadcast, monitored on 26th December in Seoul, North Korea, was found to be an edited version of the complete movie; as it was not long than one hour.
Regardless of the movie, the significance of playing a Britain Movie was a huge surprise for the entire international community. Moreover later-on on Thursday, South Korean Leader, Martin Uden, sent an official tweet to the British Ambassador calling the broadcast to be the "1st ever western-made film to air on TV" in North Korea, which made it apparent that it was the British Embassy which has organized it.
