MySpace Integrates Facebook, They Call It A “Mash-Up”

In a press conference, this Thursday, a one-year old rumor came true, when the both Facebook and MySpace declared that their partnership has prospered and now they have put a connect withFacebook button on the MySpace homepage which new makes it possible for a wide range of personalization and sharing features on MySpace. And also there will be a sign in button on MySpace which will allow users to identify their account on MySpace by their Facebook user information.
The announcement labeled this progress as “Mashup with Facebook,” as it not only allowed users to log in with Facebook (or either connect their existing MySpace account) but then they will also be able to import their likes and interests from facebook, making it more convenient to do things like following updates from their favorite entertainers. On the other hand MySpace doing likewise plans to introduce the “Like” buttons across the site, ultimately leading to the MySpace content like music and videos getting shared back to the people on Facebook.

This is a very strategically important deal for either company, in the interest of Facebook, it has further proved that, on the part of MySpace, that Facebook has now indeed become the undisputed master in the social networking world. Whereas doing the reciprocals, in the interest of MySpace, considered the supremacy of Facebook today, it’s better to be with them rather than being against them at this point. In fact more majorly, it has now created a huge new audience for MySpace’s content and is very beneficial for its spotlight on entertainment.
