Pandora has just taken a step ahead after mastering the service of music; it is now beginning to try it’s like with jokes. Pandora has added to its data base of Internet radio service more than ten thousand comedy clips, which are performed by even more than seven hundred different renowned comedians. The same services will be provided with Pandora's Comedy Genome Project, as they are with the Music Genome Project. Pandora will analyze in detail entire content of every clip and determine its style, content and delivery; then it will perform different sophisticated procedures for finding out that which out which comedians are somewhat similar in one way or the other.

Some of the methods to determine this similarity are like delivery of the jokes or the top on which one comedian has his jokes most on. This unordinary and reliable services of analyzing carefully to recommend the user, is the technique which too Pandora very far in the Internet music industry and has made it a powerhouse it is today.

The official blogpost of Pandora announced this new service being launched; it said that "Adding comedians to the mix has been one of the top requests from our listeners." It went on addressing "so we've taken the same approach to comedy as we have to music: carefully and deliberately analyzing comedic 'bits' across a very large number of attributes to capture the style, delivery and content of each performance."
According to the initial reports, it has been mentioned by The New York Times that the comedians whose content is analyzed and available on Pandora include very famous comedians like Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, Mitch Hedberg and John Rivers. It was also informed in the similar article that just like its musical service, the new comedy service on Pandora will also be made available along with the audio advertisements. The very first advertisers of this new Pandora service are Unilever. Pandora announced that Unilever will be promoting its product including Axe male body products and Klondike bars.
Pandora is the same company which was once on the verge of breaking down the path of destruction as it prepared for IPO, which is now being predicted to bring at least the revenue of around $100 million for the Internet radio company. Pandora now thankfully has above 80 million users and is essentially break even for the company.
