Key Player Of Steelers, Mendenhall Sends Unbelievable Tweets Regarding Bin Laden’s Death

The renowned player of Pittsburgh Steelers, Rashard Mendenhall, was one of the most mentioned people on Twitter at the time when the news of Osama Bin Ladin’s death was on its verge. He received extra-ordinarily called-for criticism by the hands of Twitter, after he had posted several tweets on his account which were extremely controversial and quite frankly unbelievable. Most astonishingly he questioned publicly whether it was fair to celebrate the death of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, who was actually killed.

Mendenhall used the huge number of followers he has on the social media website to object about the response the news of his death has gotten. He wrote on Monday: "What kind of person celebrates death? It's amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We've only heard one side."

In response to such controversial words, not only his followers but all kinds of Twitter users replied to his message and questioned Mendenhall instead that would have he said "the same thing when people celebrated Hitler's death." Many simply tagged him as an "ignorant" for giving the benefit of doubt or ambiguity to bin Laden rather than his own nation.
This one tweet was not only what Mendenhall posted at the time. He went on posting five tweets even more controversial Tweets afterwards too. One of these tweets even raised doubts on whether did even the collapse of New York's Twin Towers had actually been the direct actions of al Qaeda, as he doubted that the hijackers could practically hijack planes and bump into the buildings. Perhaps Mendenhall did not realize that the catastrophe of September 11, 2001 had directly taken 2,752 lives in New York City and was a very sensitive topic for innumerable American people. He relentlessly wrote on his twitter page: "We'll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition-style.”
Quickly the President of Steelers, Art Rooney II, sent a direct message on the team's website that he hasn’t directly confirmed Mendenhall about what he was saying "so it is hard to explain or even comprehend what he meant with his recent Twitter comments." Furthermore, Rooney also gave an official announcement on behalf of the entire team saying that "The entire Steelers' organization is very proud of the job our military personnel have done and we can only hope this leads to our troops coming home soon.”
