The YouTube sensation of ‘Annoying Orange’ Makes Its Way to Become a TV show

The YouTube sensation of the ‘Annoying Orange,’ will no longer be limited to YouTube any more. One of the most favorite web series of YouTube, designed by Dane Boedigheimer, will shortly be making their way to your television as a proper TV Show.
Boedigheimer has recently signed a contract with, a management/media/production company, The Collective, which has promised to finance the 6 initial episodes with the duration of half an hour. The writer of this show will be the same person who wrote Pinky and the Brain, Tom Sheppard, while the executive producer, Conrad Vernon, is known for his production in Shrek 2.
According to the statistics of 2011 alone, the web series of the ‘Annoying Orangeis listed as the 8th of the top most subscribed channels at the video sharing website, YouTube. The statistics also identify the number of subscriptions to be 1.7 million plus and along with totaled viewers of 565 million to the channel collaboratively. This clearly shows that show will have inherited a pretty big pre-existing audience already and it probably assures the success of the upcoming TV Show.
If we look at the history of ‘YouTube Channel’ turned into TV Show, than Annoying Orange is not the first, Fred, a YouTube series by Lucas Cruikshank, as made its way to Nickelodean. It was a good venture as the series showed a six-year-old boy uncontrollable with anger management issues. This previous such experiment turned out to be a very successful one, as it attracted a large audience of 7.6 million viewers, which consequently resulted in the deal extending to add a sequel to the series.
Boedigheimer was giving an interview to an online website blog, Mashable, where he declared that the animation of the Annoying Orange will be same same as it was seen in the web series along with all the major characters of it. Some of the main characters mentioned were Pear, Passion Fruit, Midget Apple, Grandpa Lemon and Marshmellow, though it was said that the set of the show might not be the kitchen as it has been all the time before.
Boedigheimer also talked about how excited he was to have this opportunity as a challenge to convert his YouTube phenomena of ‘Annoying Orange‘  into a flourishing big television show as well. The television network that might be airing this new upcoming TV Show has not been disclosed, or decided, yet.
