Sony has now eventually declared a warning notice to all its customers during the ‘external intrusion,’ actually its Network was completely hacked and note only data like users’ password, birthday but also additional data has been acquired by the hackers. Almost all the users’ data of its PlayStation Network, which connects PlayStation 3 (PS3) consoles for online-gaming and more, has risks of being stolen.

On the 20th of April, Sony suspended its PlayStation Network and Qriocity streaming music service as it claimed it was due to do an "external intrusion," informed by its spokesperson Patrick Seybold. Even though the investigation of such sensitive cyber attack is still under investigation, Sony has revealed the confirmation of very crucial data being stolen, of PlayStation Network and Qriocity service users' names, addresses, birthdates, passwords, and email addresses.
Sony dropped another bomb in the declarative message to all its users, when it wrote that "While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility." Whereas, previously he had already mentioned "It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained."
Seybold declared that this further delay in the suspension of Sony’s PlayStation Network and Qriocity is for the investigation of the breach and also for lengthening up its walls of defenses for any further such event. He also added “We have a clear path to have PlayStation Network and Qriocity systems back online, and expect to restore some services within a week.”
As long as the Network remains offline, the players are still however, able to play games offline on the consoles. They will not be able to go online and play with others on the Internet, stream movies, or get other services though.
Sony has surprisingly still not disclosed any information regarding or indicating towards their progress in to indentifying the culprit of this intrusion. However, generally people are inclined towards the Internet vigilante group, Anonymous, which has challenged Sony for a revenge after their legal action against the hackers who previously cracked PS3 defenses and made the gaming console into an operating software.
