Pushlife, a Canadian Mobile Company Gets Acquired By Google


The Toronto originated company, PushLife, which renders the services for mobile music made the general announcement on Monday claiming that it was has now be acquired and formed an integral part of Google Inc..
Elaborative information and the particulars of the transaction were not disclosed and will remain the same way. According to the estimation of a renowned technology blog StartupNorth, they calculated purchase price of the company to be around $25 million.

The official statement released on the website of the company itself states that: "As Google is driving innovation on the mobile Web across a wide variety of areas, we thought joining the company would be a perfect fit.” It was furthermore published that the PushLife will be joining its forces with Google engineering team up in Canada while the goals will be set for achieving more mobile applications for Andriod.
PushLife came into being back in 2008, and its first and only product gave users the facility to easily synch any digital content(whether it be music, pictures, videos or anything else) from their iTunes or Windows Media libraries. This product was compatible with not only the smartphones running Google's Android but any Blackberry device as well.
There has been a huge buzz and a massive suspicion that Google has been mischievously setting up a digital music product which will be put in competition with very much popular iTunes of Apple. But Google has not even made the slightest indication towards any such plans till now.
Billboard.com once wrote in September that Google Inc. has been under long negotiations with several record labels as it moves towards making its own new service. It was stated that this new services of Google will enable its worthy users the access to a store music on the Internet and for streaming to Web-connected devices.
