Newly Formed ‘The International Game Developers Association’ Negotiates With Amazon’s Selfish pricing Of the Games

The video game developers have unanimously formed a group among themselves which will be representing the body and protecting their concerns, hence its first move was against Amazon.com Inc. Amazon has been accused of putting unnecessary pricing terms which will directly hurt the developers in the long run as they believe that Amazon is in pursuit of creating a monopoly in the market while selling Android games.
This unanimous body, give the name of an association ‘The International Game Developers Association’ published a mail to all its members updating them all regarding their conflict and progress of that conflict with Amazon. This mail was sent on Thursday and informed that their demand is for Amazon to require developers for permanently lower their prices on Amazon if they are offering a discount, even temporarily, on another outlet. It was written that "Amazon has little incentive not to use a developer's content as a weapon with which to capture marketshare from competing app stores.”

It has also been alleged that Amazon purposefully steep discounting of games hurts developers by unnecessarily lowering prices on games that are selling well. Whereas, this allegation was immediately recognized to be rhyming with the one made previously by the book publishers' back in 2010. They also had the same complaint with the low prices Amazon, as according to them, was giving unnecessary low prices for books on its Kindle e-reader which even had great demands and could easily be sold in better price, which cheapened the value of books.
Amazon has just recently inaugurated its "Appstore" last which stores the games developed on the best-selling platform of Google's Android software.
Even in the Last month, Amazon was also the center of anguish by the hands of the music labels as they were unhappy with the launching of a service. This service specifically allows customers to store any songs or other content to be downloaded and then makes the file playable on many of the phones and computers without warning the music label. The negotiations regarding this concern against Amazon are getting resolved as the executive of the e-commerce giant meet with the representatives of different music industry companies on Thursday, as informed by Reuters.
IGDA has firmly claimed that for now, Amazon has agreed and looks anxious to resolve the matter and give a look at the raised concerns and allegations. The association claimed that they are trying to avoid the situation before "the minute Amazon's Appstore becomes so big that Android developers have no choice but to distribute their content via the store,” as the Amazon's market position might just become irresistible.
