Mozilla Aims To Release Firefox 5 On 21st June And Fasten Its Next Upcoming Versions After That

Mozilla has just set up a very tight and chaotic schedule for the upcoming versions of Firefox, its best-selling internet browser. The next version of the browser, Firefox 5, is set to be released on 21st of June, 2011. Whereas, after that, assuming that it succeeds in achieving that announced date and is well on schedule, Mozilla will than release the next version, Firefox 6, only after two months of the release.
Mozilla has geared up and set up very faster-paced development rounds, it now aims to immediately add more new features to its software along the way as the series of newer versions gets released at very short intervals. Every new feature, which is ready, will be injected in the very next version and this process cycle will continue at a faster rate till they finally achieve a proper polished edition.
This new amendment it’s in running techniques is a major change over for the company, which was previously stuck into much longer schedules. Just the previous version, Firefox 4, took almost a complete year for the development and the final release. In fact, even before that, the Firefox 3.6 took almost the same amount of time until it was released.
The leading market share holder, Chrome of Google, has adopted the same strategy and it overhauls its product periodically adding together new features every time. Consequently a newer version of Chrome gets released almost on a average at an interval of six to eight weeks. Even Mozilla's own website is claimed to have aimed that by its new, faster development it will match Google's performance.
Moreover, it has been observed by the company that their key behind this new plan is to have a "silent update" facility in Firefox which will ultimately just download and install the sent updates merely automatically. This is also the same strategy adopted by Google Chrome and it is the only browser has the capability of updating in background without even asking for user’s approval or requiring any user action.
Mozilla was already working on the technique of silent updating for a few months now. It was actually enrolled to be included in the Firefox 4; but this feature was later pulled from that version in the last. It is now believed to be definitely adding up in Firefox 5 which will also consequently make it easier for the quicker roll-outs of Firefox 6, 7 and next versions effortlessly.
