Intel Launches Its Second Generation of Intel(R) Core(TM) Processor Family


The Country Manager of Intel for Pakistan Naveed Siraj, was speaking in a local hotel at the launch of the second generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processor family when he said that Intel might even start their own production in Pakistan if the feasibility report goes positive and it is found that economies of scale are suitable.
In reply to a question, he added that “Hardware manufacturing infrastructure needs huge investments of billion of US dollars and any company will invest in Pakistan only when it sees its production would be optimum with sales requirement.” He implied that with more and more advanced technology every day, the use of Internet specially in order to log on to social networking website has made it very necessary for one to have Personal Computer (PC) with a fast speed. He informed that the demand for such PCs has increased very rapidly as people now work on several applications together all the time.

On the same topic, Naveed added that if we go almost ten years back it could have been said that every two out of three PCs were sold to the enterprises. But now the case is exactly opposite and it will not be wrong to say that now every two out of three PCs sold go to the domestic users.
He took the time to announce that Intel now is concentrating to have added few new features, services and partnerships which will make their processers an amalgam of new features which deliver an advanced new visual experience as the processor are built in with graphics. He shared that according to the company’s analysis market will be expecting at least 500 plus desktop or laptop PC designs from the manufacturers worldwide for the next year ahead.
These new features included in the second generation of Intel(R) Core(TM) processor family now includes Intel(R) Quick Sync Video, an improved new version of award-winning Intel(R) Wireless Display (WiDi) and many other features. He boasted that Intel(R) Wireless Display (WiDi) will now add 1080p HD video display along with content protection, with which users will be able to beam premium HD content from their laptop screen to their TV.
Finishing up the conversation, Naveed mentioned that “The new 2nd Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processors represent the biggest advance in computing performance and capabilities over any other previous generation.”
