Flaws Found In the Mac OS X 10 Lion Developer Preview 2 Release by Apple

Apple has released the ‘second developer preview’ of its yet-to-come Mac OS X Lion operating system on this Wednesday. This new operating system is due to arrive this summer, though however in contrast to the recent details; this pre-release software is not exactly a Gold Master.
This beta software, labeled as ‘Mac OS X Lion Developer Preview 2’ and identifiable by its build number 11A419, has been put on Mac App Store and is available to all registered developers after they request a redemption code online. It was previously available together with the Mac OS X Lion Server Developer Preview 2, which also has the same build number, and also Xcode 4.1 Developer Preview 2. This was a pre-release version of the Mac OS X development environment provided by Apple.

In contrast to the positive reports published by TechCrunch, this new release in known to have contained roughly a dozen issues each. Firstly, Apple has already informed the developers that Thunderbolt devices will not be supported as the users with NTFS volumes (such as BootCamp) will experience problems when they are rebooting or shut down the device. There might also be known issues for when playing the purchased videos from the iTunes Store.
Secondly, the developers were also informed that the new Recovery HD feature of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion will not work on unsupported partition schemes. Moreover, warning was also given that iPhoto 9 might just crash whenever any user tries to create a book/card/calendar from an event/album, and even when clicking a photo's info button.
Having said that, these were the warnings and information provided by Apple itself, now the users who are familiar with the mater also have concerns that Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Server also have several issues. They complain that firstly even the installation has problems when using local or caching Software Update, it has been reported that new sharepoints do not inherit the group permissions. Moreover Safari does not support the Wiki Server and Profile Manager. Lion Server do not even yet include the support for Podcast Producer Server, NetBoot/NetRestore from install source, and booting into a NetRestore.
Mac OS X 10.7 Lion will become the 8th major release of Apple's operating system. The first developer preview was released in late February, when Apple announced few undisclosed features, including AirDrop and FileVault. Now just this, Apple announced that it will be displaying the “preview of the future" of Mac OS X at its Worldwide Developer Conference, which is scheduled to take place from 6th to 10th June in San Francisco's Moscone West almost after two months.
