#EntertainmentNews: Ricky Martin and True Blood take lead in the 22nd GLAAD Media Awards Ceremony

The 22nd Annual GLAAD Awards ceremony took place in New York on this Saturday evening. Among others praised at the ceremony were Russell Simmons, Ricky Martin and the famous tv show "True Blood" and even CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" as it featured an entire series on gay teen suicides, along with Excellence in Media Award for the Music tycoon Simmons.
Martin was highlight of the evening as his appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" where the celebrity not only discussed on his intentions of raising twin boys but he also publically disclosed himself gay was highly praised. Moreover, the television networks Univision and Telemundo, despite being Spanish in language, were also discussed along with a website titled; Essence.com which was highly spoken off for their efforts in digital journalism.

Whereas, in the category of non-electronic media efforts, Frank Rich, a columnist from The New York Times and Peter David, a novelist for his book "X-Factor" were announced along with 32 other categories. The left over awards and recognitions are due to be presented at the rest of ceremonies which are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles and San Francisco in the coming months of April and May.
