#EntertainmentNews: Brazilian Filmmaker to Be Directing the New Remake of "Robocop"


Jose Padilha, who is the same director who also worked on the violent Brazilian film titled "Elite Squad" and has worked on plenty other cop movies is in discussions and is considering to direct a remake of an classic old movie. ‘Robocop’ is a 1987 original film, which was then directed by Paul Verhoeven and had a total of two sequels made.

This remake will be totally on high priority and is being scheduled to be show in the newly renovated casino MGM. The directors are getting in full contact with the official of the casino since last week. No screenwriter is yet affiliated with this project for now.
"Robocop" is being mostly perceived as the Hollywood debut for Brazilian Padilha, who is resting since his last direction back in 2007 which went on winning the Berlin Film Festival titled "Elite Squad," shot on the mean streets of Rio de Janeiro.
