#EntertainmentNews: "True Grit" Will Be Opening the Berlin’s International Film Festival


The innaugeral ceremony of The annual Berlin International Film Festival begins with the screening of worthy movy by Joel and Ethan Coen; True Grit, which is also a multiple-Oscar-nominated Western classic now. This movie is in reality a remake of John Wayne classic, which stars celebrities like Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld.

This first screening will set the way for the huge program spread over ten days which has several attractions to it, including debut direction of Ralph Fiennes, "Coriolanus." The festival would be judged by a jury constuting of six judges which will be lead by Isabella Rossellini who will later award the festival's top honor as well.
There is a vacant seat in the place of seventh member of the judges, which was left a a symbol of grattitude for the Iranian director Jafar Panahi, who is tragically jailed back in his homeland, hence will not be able to make it on Thursday.
