Elton John discussed some views regarding his friend Billy Joel and claimed that he needed to give some serious attention and consideration to rehab and "do something better" with his life as he claimed. These severe comments were made by the former touring partner of Billy Joel on the 17th of Feb in the edition of Rolling Stone magazine.
He told the magazine that both of the band members even had to cancel several of their scheduled tours just because of Joel's illnesses and "alcoholism." He later than added that Joel should really do rehab like he did it — with patients cleaning floors, not just watching television.
John later justified himself as well, stated that he knows Joel will definitely "hate" him after hearing all this. But he claimed that Joel needs tough love at the moment and will not hide his feelings.
Joel has already spent the last month in a rehab center in California for the special treatment of alcohol abuse, once in 2005, whereas another estimated two weeks were also spared at a Connecticut facility in 2002 as well.
