#EntertainmentNews: Film Critics Group Pick `Social Network' As Their Pick for the Best Picture Of 2010


This Saturday the National Society of Film Critics has chosen the film, “The Social Network” to be the best picture of 2010. These annual awards of the society involved the voting by 46 prestigious well-known and respected movie critics who had gotten together at a restarting in Manhattan.

Jesse Eisenberg was selected as the best actor, playing the role of Mark Zuckerberg, whereas the best director and best screenplay were assume ably, David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin. Both the acting Geoffrey Rush in “The King’s Speech” and Olivia Williams for “The Ghost Writer” won them the Supporting actor awards.

Founded in 1966, this is society comprises of a total 61 worthy film critics from around the whole country, some among these respected experts include Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Los Angeles Times’ Kenneth Turan, The Wall Street Journal’s Joe Morgenstern and David Denby of The New Yorker.
Among other films in the category of foreign language, “Carlos” — French director Olivier Assayas’s 5 1/2-hour-look at the life of the global terrorist dubbed “Carlos the Jackal” — was voted best.
