#EntertainmentNews: Upgraded Safety Measures Requested For “Spider Man”

The already under pressure shooting of "Spider-Man" musical has now been canceled after its last performance on Wednesday with intentions of upgrading more safety measures for its unique and complex stage maneuvers according to publicist of the show.
It was stopped right after the New York states’ safety inspectors, producer and director Julie Taymor decided that there is a necessary need of an additional safety measures to be installed. It happened after a stuntman was rushed to hospital after falling from a high raised area during one of his stunt performances earlier this week. Christopher Tierney, the stuntman, performing as an aerialist stunt double for the masked "Spider-Man" character. He was plunged off of the platform at a very nervous moment in one of the final scenes seven minutes to the end of Monday night's performance. The audience only supposedly heard a thud sound followed by an apparent scream of another actress while the audience went quiet and the stage was blacked out.

Cox has stated that the investigation has been launched of whether why did Tierney fell and if the production is responsible for breaking any standard safety codes or not, although for the time being it was agreed among all show and inspectors that some broader safety measures shall be exercised.
