Swiss Man Flies By His Own Made Wing Suite Like Iron Man!

This Friday, Yves Rossy, a Swiss adventurer, jumped from a hot-air balloon in the air and completed two aerial loops using just his custom-made jet-propelled wingsuit, just like the Iron Man. This is the first time that such act has been performed successfully.
Rossy, 51, is a former fighter pilot who hopes one day to fly through the Grand Canyon. He began his dare devil stunt by launching himself from a replica of the Breitling Orbiter, which was also the first balloon to be piloted nonstop around the world in 1999. He rose to an altitude of 7,874 feet (2,400 meters) near Lake Geneva. Then amazingly he fired up the jets on his new custom made wing suit to perform the loops, and eventually landed safely on the ground with the help of a parachute.
Rossy commented on his own stunt, by saying he was "very happy and satisfied" with Friday's stunt. His first successful flight was around two years back over the nearby Swiss Alps.

Rossy said, ambitiously, that he wishes to fly through the Grand Canyon in Arizona, but is yet waiting for permission from the U.S. authorities.
