Rumors of the 2 Amazon Tablets Become More Elaborated; both Code-Named Coyote and Hollywood

Further leaked information has supported the rumors claiming an upcoming tablet from Amazon. Amazon is one of the most widely used online retailers and is renowned for its gadget; Kindle e-reader. This new information leaked by a source, called Boy Genius Report, enlists that Amazon has couple of devices in the process, which expected to be released in the market sometime before 2012.
Even though the details of these upcoming tablet devices remains ambiguous, it has been informed that of one these devices will be only an entry-level tablet, code-named by the company as "Coyote." Coyote will be housing a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, launched earlier this year, also used in the Xoom tablet of Motorola. While the second tablet is code-named as "Hollywood," wgucg will probably be having an expensive ultra-powerful quad-core processor, the Tegra 3 T30. This high performance processor will have the capacity of displaying almost three times better graphics than the previous version.

Non-Profit Group Launches Website Tracking Power Outages in India through Twitter Users

The load shedding and power cuts in India are becoming a hectic daily routine, as it now encompasses entire country from the small villages to the capital. However, since most of the power outages are unannounced, the statistical information on the degree of the problem is largely unreliable. Recently a volunteer group in India has begun a project along with the cooperation of the Indian community of Twitter users, to create an infographic statistics based on the information received from Twitter users. These tweets are than compiled and analyzed, sourced from the various parts of the country, consequently the reports of power failures all over the country are used to support this idea.
According to the founder of the project, Shefaly Yogendra, who’s an Indian working as an investment consultant in U.K, this public-generated infographic statists can also prove as a very useful weapon against the politicians and government to get them to discover cheaper solution of such deep-seated problem. Moreover, she added that as the project becomes more authentic gradually, it can also be used by the officials for reference when working for a solution or deploying new investments in electricity generation and transmission. Yogendra stated that "Every time it is summer, I usually have a lot of friends from India complaining on Twitter about power cuts."

SanDisk Decides To Acquire Leading SSD Maker, Pliant, In a Deal of $327 Million

SanDisk, the leading manufacturer of flash memory, is relying largely on its assumption about the future market of solid-state storage and staying optimistic as it reaches near in finalizing the deal of acquiring another solid-state drive maker, Pliant. The rumors claim that the deal exchanges the company for a $327 million in cash along with several equity-based incentives. Pliant has been making one of the best high-yielding SAS solid-state drives, carefully designed for a market of most enterprises and data center storage solutions. The latest endeavors of the Pliant company were to release its newly manufactured PCIe-based storage systems, which are aimed for a very high-performance servers.
This acquisition deal is being seen as a very tactical step, according to the analysts. They assert that SanDisk being one of the manufacturers of flash memory, which has a wide consumer market and applications of its own, now with the acquisition of Pliant, will also put SanDisk in the direct enterprise and corporate markets as well. ScanDisk already has the grip in the consumer products market and has lead to master its products for portable devices like phones, cameras, and media players. Having already mastered the market of consumer products, now it is showing inclination to enter the enterprise and corporate markets of Pliant as well.

The President of Republic of Rwanda, Kagame, Publically Stands Up To the Criticism of A Brish Journalist on Twitter

Recently a British journalist, Ian Birrell, was using Twitter to criticize some of the acts in the regime of Rwanda's president, claiming that he has kept his "despotic and deluded" government for too long. Surprisingly enough, the president himself, responded from his official twitter account leading to an extraordinary conversation and somewhat a clash between the critical reporter and the president of a country. The President of Rawanda, Paul Kagame, responded with almost 14 fierce tweets, to the courageous journalist, Ian Birrell, one of which simply implying that: "Wrong u r."
In the middle of the conversation, the foreign minister, Even, also intervened and referred to Birrel, saying: "wld u care 2 know what 11.000.000 Rwandans think of Paul Kagame b4 u spread ur formed opinion? 2 big a challenge 4 u?"

RIM Almost Hits the Lowest Rate of Its Shares in 2 Years, Facing the Recalls of Some Playbooks

Research In Motion has almost reached such low shares that it might be their lowest in the past two-year, as seen on Monday after the company received almost a thousand of its Playbook tablet computers back due a problem in its operating system. The Canada-based company was already suffering hardly in the past few months, as it tried not to disappoint its frustrated investors due to their slashing sales. RIM has now made an ambitious announcement declaring that the next batch of the device, having the storage capacity of 16 GB, will be shipped with "an OS build that may result in the devices being unable to properly load software upon initial set-up."
The PlayBook is operating on a QNX platform, acquired by RIM just last year, as it further plans to also shift its new smartphones on to the same platform as soon as 2012.
